Action Alert

After more than twenty years of research, planning, and advocacy, we are at a critical juncture for the health and future of the Fox River. The Army Corps of Engineers is set to release its Tentatively Selected Plan, which recommends nine (9) dam removals along the Fox River to restore habitat, improve water quality, and ensure the health of the river in perpetuity. The TSP recommends the removal of dams in Carpentersville, Elgin, South Elgin, St. Charles, Geneva, Batavia, North Aurora, Aurora, and Montgomery.
