Welcome to my website.

My name is Deborah Chabi
I am a Doctoral Candidate at the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point in their Educational Sustainability program. My research interest is in Indigenous Science education and Traditional Ecological Knowledge.

I am an educator and lifelong learner. The classes I teach currently are Environmental Science and Zoology at the high school level. Before I taught high school I was a pre-k educator for several years. Being a pre-k teacher informed the way I teach at the high school level and treat my students. Learning by playing and being open to making mistakes is the best way to go about learning science. Science is dynamic and systemic. Learning happens in stages and chunks in the brain.

Organizations I am part of

Friends of the Fox River - Education Committee
